BSBA faculty attends three-day immersion program and leadership boot camp

The Northwestern University College of Business Administration employees and staff attended a faculty immersion program and leadership boot camp at Plastic and Metal Craft Inc., in Calamba, Laguna from October 18-21, 2022.
Team Leader Dr. Eric Parilla, with Prof. Mark Abadilla, Prof. Jocelyn Evangelista, Sir Jayson Tan, Sir Nick Watson, Sir Rodge Morillo, and Ma’am Ruby Suguitan attended the event.

The objective of the trip was for the faculty members of BSBA to immerse in real-life dilemmas and for them to help the company find solutions to these problems.

The knowledge and experience gained from the immersion in Atlantic Plastic and Metal Craft Inc. is invaluable, and is planned to be shared to students. Through the re-echoing, faculty will be able to apply what they teach, to share to students first hand problems of companies, and to show them how theories in the books are utilized and used to solve real-life problems

“This is not the end, because we plan to help other companies achieve their goals and objectives. And we, the BSBA faculty members, plan to learn new knowledge and skills,” Dr. Parilla said.

Prof. Marc Abadilla facilitated Module 1: Leadership Styles and Dr. Eric Parilla facilitated Module 2: High Performance teams. Prof. Jocelyn Evangelista facilitated the module on conflict management and Mr. Rodge Morillo, on communication.
“This was a great experience [that] I will never forget. I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed and appreciated having this opportunity. Doc. Eric Parilla, our Team Leader, helped us learn and adjust to our new learnings. Thank you so much for your passion for our profession,” Prof. Jocelyn said.
