Northwestern University And Asia Pacific Alliance For Disaster Management – Philippines (Apad-Ph) Partnership

Northwestern University is a member of the Ilocos Region Platform of the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management. The alliance is composed of academe, faith-based organizations and groups, non-government organizations, the business sector, media organizations, local government, and national agencies.

APAD-PH is a transnational disaster aid platform for saving more lives in less time. Aside from its regional platforms, the organization is a partnership of countries composed of South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The Ilocos Regional Platform Alliance collectively believes in the promotion of mutual collaboration and cooperation in disaster risk reduction and management under the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Philippines, through the pooling of efforts and resources in delivering effective disaster risk reduction strategies, projects and activities and in addressing the vulnerabilities of peoples and communities.
