Northwestern University is honored to share that University President Atty. Ferdinand S. Nicolas will represent the Philippines at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris for World Futures Day 2025.
With the theme “Anticipation in an Era of Volatility,” this global gathering brings together foresight leaders and UNESCO Chairs to address challenges shaped by technology, climate pressures, demographic shifts, and broader uncertainties.
President Nicolas will speak in the session “Anticipating Systemic Changes in an Era of Volatility,” highlighting NWU’s work in integrating futures thinking across programs, advancing anticipatory governance, and supporting resilient, future-ready systems.
