NWU Nursing Faculty arrive in Germany for Training by GIZ, UKB

NWU, UKB and GIZ entered into a Memorandum of Agreement last July 8, 2020 for the “development of qualification measures for nursing staff in selected countries… that are recognizable in Germany.” The program is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) for the training of NWU Nursing students equipping them to become future nurses in Germany.

Under this program, NWU Nursing students are given free training in European-standard hospital care as well as German language skills leading to internship and possible employment in Germany. In line with this, GIZ and UKB have donated a European-standard simulation hospital room to NWU for student training and familiarization.

Nursing Department Head Charliemane A. Bullalayao and faculty members Roseli T. Aurelio, Wiljohn M. Dela Cruz, and Romelee T. Calili arrived in Germany on July 4, 2021 starting their one-month training abroad.
