NWU Smart Infocast relaunched, gives away gadgets, phones, and more

As part of the Northwestern University 89th Foundation Anniversary, Smart Telecommunications (Smart) sponsored an Infocast giveaway online raffle program. The show was hosted by the NWU Marketing and Media Information Office on February 9, and was broadcasted live via the NWU Facebook page.

The Infocast service was developed by Smart Communications for students to access immediate school updates and announcements via text messages for free—by simply registering their numbers to the NWU Smart Infocast database.

Smart provided prizes for students and faculty who registered to the service, as it also served as their entry for the raffle draw.
Lionel Lecetivo, Jay-Lord Pacioles, Harvey Cabarrubias, Joyce Corpuz, John Angelo Baguindoc, Nora Clemente, Nelson Bagaoisan, Carie Joy Cabillo, Angela Galang Angala and John Leeward Marquez were the lucky students and employee who won the 100 pesos electronic load.

Mrs. Sharon Talimongan, an employee, grabbed the free Smart pocket wifi; Edgar Yamongan, a student, nabbed the Samsung A11 smartphone; Engr. Mildred Ramos, an employee, bagged the Samsung tablet; and lastly, the luckiest among the thousands of students and employees who registered was Kimberly Rodriguez, a student, who won the grand prize Dell laptop.

“Thank you, Smart, for providing prizes to us students. May magagamit na po ako this incoming semester,” John Leeward, one of the student winners, said.
