NWU Mounts Freshmenia 2020

Northwestern University conducted its first ever virtual Freshmenia (freshmen orientation) via its official Facebook page for first year students and transferees of Academic Year 2020-2021.

This year’s Freshmenia featured the different student services, experiences and opportunities that the new Northwesternians can avail of during the New Normal. Hosted by Mr. Ancher Cua and Ms. Zsa Zsa Raval, the 1-hour orientation covered short videos from the representatives of the different offices in the university that offer a variety of student services.

“We wanted the program to be more welcoming, concise, informative, and at the same time, fun,” said NWU PIO/PRO Mr. Spider Rodas, the online event’s Editor and Director. He said the the online orientation team prepared for two months, making sure the new Northwesternians would feel that they are in good hands, even in the New Normal.

Aside from the student services, Freshmenia 2020 also offered a virtual visit around the university with the picturesque ground and aerial shots. It also introduced the different talents of Northwestern University—the Saguday Chorale, Saguday Dancers, NWU After 5 Band, and NWU Tamboreros.

Other production members were Mr. Anton Villanueva (Videographer and Editor), Mr. Alvin Cariaso (Videographer), Mr. Jonathan Paguirigan (Production Coordinator), Mr. Gilbert Humilde (Technical Director), Ms. Ivyne Jenica Guerrero and Mr. Julius Daniel (Production Assistants), NWU Nexus (Network Support), Ms. Jing Matias and Ms. Stephanie Valiente (Associate Producers), Ms. Mich Nicolas (Overall Consultant) and Atty Ferdinand S. Nicolas (Executive Producer).
