2019 College Diagnostic Examination

The College Diagnostic Examination is a requirement for incoming College Freshmen of S.Y. 2019-2020. It is an assessment test to determine the applicant/examinee’s placement in advanced subjects such as English, Math and Science. Once the examinee claims his/her exam result, the Guidance Office staff will advise the applicant whether or not to take the said advanced subjects depending on the course he/she will be enrolling. Regardless of the examinee’s score/ result, the student will still be admitted in NWU due to its Open Admission Policy.

EXAMINATION SCHEDULE AND FEE

Examinees may come as WALK-IN from MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS (except Holidays).

1. MARITIME EDUCATION APPLICANTS
Whole-day Testing (with Personality and IQ Tests)

Registration starts at 8:00 AM
Examination Fee: Php 260.00*
Maximum of 50 examinees per day**

2. OTHER DEGREE PROGRAM APPLICANTS
Examinees may choose from the two sessions:

AM Session – 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN
Registration starts at 8:00 AM
Maximum of 50 examinees on this session**

PM Session – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Registration starts at 1:00 PM
Maximum of 100 examinees on this session**

Examination Fee: Php 200.00*

*Payment of examination fee is upon registration.
**This is on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED arrangement.

EXAMINATION VENUE: 2nd Floor, Junior High School Building, NWU Campus

For nearest access, examinees shall enter at GATE 2 near ‘Rotunda’ or Ilocano Migrants’ Monument.

WHAT TO BRING?

1. Pencil
2. Black-Inked Ballpoint Pen
3. Snacks/Refreshments
4. Identification (ID) Card (Old School ID is also accepted)

Note: If no ID is available, the applicant shall proceed to the signing of examinee’s form at the Registration Area.

UPDATES/ADVISORIES (as of July 1, 2019)

Results of the College Diagnostic Examination are now ready to be claimed at the Guidance Office. Applicants shall proceed at the said office for advising. Please bring your Official Receipt or one (1) valid ID for identification verification.

For applicants who took the exam recently, please wait for 4-5 working days for the availability of exam results. For the meantime, applicants can now undergo pre-admission. Check the admission requirements on this link: https://www.nwu.edu.phevent/college-freshmen-enrollment
