| NWU Owls Pep Squad garners 3rd Place in the Regional Qualifiers |
 The NWU Owls more popularly known as the "Saguday Pep Squad" bagged 3rd place during the National Cheer leading Championship (Regional Qualifying Competition) held at the University of Cordillera (UC) in Baguio City last November 29, 2009. The team consisting of 28 members, was accompanied by Mr. Karl Lenin Benigno, the Dean for Student Affairs, Ms. Elizabeth Palafox, Cultural Affairs Coordinator, Vermon Lamug, the musical director, Mr. Jed Morida, student assistant and Mr. Mark Anthony Agorilla, choreographer. The UC Jaguars placed first, followed by UCCP Virgins of La Union, NWU Owls, Saint Louis University and Pangasinan State University. Top three winners, NWU include, will join the Nationals on March 2010 competing against the top cheering squads of Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and the National Capital Region. |
